Action

Voor de Action zoek ik een interim Manager Communication Projects & Content. Het gaat om een opdracht van 38 uur per week. De opdracht start op 1 juni 2023 en loopt tot 1 december 2023, met optie op verlenging. Je werkt vanuit de locatie in Zwaagdijk en deels remote. Reacties uiterlijk woensdag 24 mei 2023 om 17:00 uur.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • responsible for the development and execution of the external & internal communications strategies, resulting from the overall company communications strategy and plan in order to build a strong reputation towards all stakeholders and contribute to engaged and well-informed employees
  • act as second-in-command next to head of Communication
  • develops and manages, with team of project managers, companywide communications channels, formats and content in close cooperation with country communications and IHQ/Charities communication manager and key company stakeholders like GMs and Heads of Functions
  • Manages and develops project managers to enable them to execute and improve communication projects in line with communication plans

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Strategy/Policy

  • Initiates, designs and manages communications projects, tools and events according to the communication strategy
  • Takes initiatives to renew and improve the Internal or external communications tools, content and events in order to strengthen the company reputation and employee engagement
  • Works with management / the EB to incorporate core values into meaningful language
  • Actively identifies the wishes and needs of the departments / customers within and outside the responsibilities of the own position, and delivers, where possible even more or quicker than was agreed or expected by the departments / customers
  • Proactively contributes to the strengthening of the communication strategy
  • Keeps a clear vison on how to communicate effectively
  • Issues advice on request or at own initiative on a strategic level
  • Always looks for ways to improve the communication processes
  1. Communication plan
  • Plans and implements the company’s communication strategy
  • Supports management / the EB in case of communication to departments / customers with the purpose to match the business plan objectives
  • Creates and manages planning and execution of communication projects in line with the overall communication strategy
  • Ensures and oversees the execution of the plans, contributes to the realisation of the objectives
  • Responsible for setting and monitoring budgets for the project managers
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, up to 200.000 euro
  1. Implementation & Execution
  • Facilitates discussions on communications approach or sensitive business initiatives with management / the EB
  • Oversees research and planning and provides final edits of communications documentation
  • Implements communication programs in conjugation with related areas of the organization to ensure desired outcomes within budgets and organizational policies
  • Manages a team of communications project managers
  • Manages matters related to reputation and issue management
  • Building a network within / outside the organization to proactively collect information and see opportunities

REQUIREMENTS – HARD SKILLS

  • Education: University degree in Communications, Journalism or another relevant area (e.g. Economics, Business)
  • Experience: 8 years of relevant experience in an international or retail organization
  • Good/excellent oral and written proficiency in English and one or more other European languages
